11/27. A super fun offshore morning at the Jetti.

Had a super fun morning this last Sunday. I think the Jetti is going to be a new daily spot. Erik and I went out and got some fun offshore waist high/chest high peelers. I finally got to try out my latest shape. I think it's a success. It rides exactly how I was expecting it to. Noserides great and turns on a dime. I don't think it even compares to Tyler's Riddler, but I like the idea behind it. I met Adam Davenport - local shaper and number 1 to Tyler. He was too kind checking out my board! Check him out at here.
Miss Jane Lee took all these photos ; )

Zodiac color.

Green tint with Black opaque. Loving how this one is turning out. Going to stay away from volan cloth again this time, but will glass it heavier than my other ones. Going to do a standard 10oz on bottom and 10oz on top with a 4oz deck patch..equaling? yes, 14oz. This should be ready just in time for some cold central coast water during thanksgiving time! ...Let's hope it's 8-10 ft up there ...

Rick Griffin art gathering at Mollusk.

Jane and I checked out the Rick Griffin art/get together at Mollusk last night. It was a pretty solid gathering of surfers, hipsters, and people just all around having a good time. With free beer, tacos and music, it can't get much better than that. The band was a lot of fun, playing old surf tunes from the Ventures and the Safaris. Glad we went and checked it out.

My Zodiac experiment

Initial rough sand of my new project. This one is for me so I'm not holding back with the "crazy ideas" Huge single concave down to the mid of the board. Slight step deck by the tail onto the hips. 9'1''x 22''x 2 3/8 - before glass.
